I am once again angry that other countries get eg chocolate bars made with actual sugar and milk and chocolate and with ginger caramel filling, and here in the US we get "here is some wax flavored with high fructose corn syrup"

And this is a commercial chocolate bar made by a company whose name I recognize!! It's not an artisanal chocolate bar!

Back when I was in the navy and going on deployments I ate so much chocolate all around the pacific rim and west Asia. Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bahrain, Fujairah, the Seychelles, Australia. Pago Pago.

Also there was this pastry shop in the Bab al Bahrain market and everything there was amazing and I have no idea what any of it was. I would just go and point at some things and the old guy behind the counter would gesture to other things and I would buy those too.

In the Seychelles there was this one beach with restaurants all along it and I spent the day working my way down the beach with a book, eating things.

when I can I'll mail you some Irish selections here, which is basically the same as the UK. I don't think we have any specific differences but anyway, the chocolate here is great.
