Also maybe take some time to consider how this reads for you to say this to a Black woman and scholar who has every damn right to call this out and to call it “aggressive” plays into this idea that BIPOC need to coddle white people’s feelings. They don’t.

Now whether the poster cares about that or not is entirely up to them, and that will depend on who they are talking to. But any message can be delivered in an uncompromising manner which can be taken badly by the recipient. I have spent this afternoon 2/3

watching people I respect tear each other apart on Twitter unnecessarily, and avoidably. Some of the comments, however correct and well intentioned, would fall into a workplace definition of bullying. It wasn't the message, it was the manner, and that cut off communication. 3/4

How exactly was anything myself, Dr MRO, or the others responding to Alison bullying? Explain please because we were nothing but respectful and engaging in good faith but she came in to accuse us of bullying. She was not there in good faith, period.

Yeah my BIPOC archaeologist colleagues have been informing me that they have either been blocked by her or they don't engage cause it's not worth their time, so I learned something new today. I hear she RTs our fave black-face tweeter, so ok, I get it now.
