Happy St Brigid's Day all. Reminder there are over 30 women in the medieval Irish sources named Brigid/Brig, some were likely doubles of St Brigit of Kildare whereas others were not but perhaps b/c of the popularity of St Brigit her name was popular to give to others.

Re: Colum/Columba being a gender neutral name, I encountered at least two women, one named Colum in an Irish genealogy for saints and the other was the name of a nun on the continent in one of the records for clergy at a Columbanus' foundation.

The latter was found by accident while I was helping my friend Donncdha who was looking at those docs for his thesis, but I was surprised because at that point I never considered that a woman might take that name upon entering the church.

Re: Brig/Brigit, Pádraig Ó Riain lists most of them in his corpus, but there is also the legendary jurist Brig and some possible secular women (which I look at in my thesis).
