We have been arguing with UK scholars for years that keep saying this is a "US" problem and there are a "small number" of people doing this. As they point the finger at the US, they just left the EU holding up crusader imagery.

The north mythology thing is also still a thing in my country. Its not just the hammer. Runes are very popular aswell. Viking music used to be a thing that sort of glorified nationalism and a white nation of old etc. Historians really matter we are needed to fight this stuff.

Ill take a look thx, I am teacher in history so I also look at how history is written in textform in educational books. And its not great often sadly. Especially the heavily eurocentric ones that are so dated in how they explain history and just reinforces this white washed stuff

One hurdle I and others have seen thats the hardest to engage is the internet. The forums, the places where these ideas, fantasies about the past is shared and put into the context where white supremacy and hate is born out of it or reinforced for many people.

Well you found one of the right ppl. I'm basically a wyte supremacist magnet as a Black/Brown medievalist, but engaging w/ them is what I do. Spent yrs on some forums incognito too. I can suggest some good folks to follow if you're interested. Always good to grow the community.
