Doubling down and refusing to see why this sort of perspective is highly problematic and turning it into a respectability politics thing while refusing to answer others who were more polite but making the same points.

And then making some assumptions about my feelings on fascism that surely I must be sad too! I’m not sad that fascism and white supremacy is deeply rooted in Western society. I’m angry for the BIPOC, but especially Black and Indigenous people who have had to live with this

No I don’t cry over some fascist weeping because they “hoped for a better world” (a quote from this person) and I don’t think that should be anyone’s public response to this even if you ARE crying.
