You seem to have taken my statement of deep, existential sadness that some people think fascism will make their lives better, as apologia for fascism. I'm sorry I gave that impression, but I'm not sure what more I can say or do to to assure you otherwise.

I definitely care that people are Trump supporters rather than, you know, not being Trump supporters. Not sympathetically, but politically. It fucking *matters* that people choose fascism. The fact that people choose fascism upsets me. I'm sure it upsets you too. Stop.

First of all, I think Florence makes excellent points that you haven't responded to, and second of all, literally no one is saying that it doesn't matter that they're fascists. But Trump did not turn them this way.

Also "I don't want them to hope for fascism" is not the same thing as "I hope they're not fascists". Just to be clear.
