YES. I’m less angry that Gollum destroyed the food than I am that he knowingly and intentionally blamed what he did on someone else. That’s so ugly. He knew he was wrong.

Ugh it’s just I totally had shit blamed on me and then when no one believed me...I cried hard. I understand just the betrayal there that Frodo would believe Gollum over Sam so easily.

The experience of not being believed—especially about important things—comprised a significant portion of my childhood experiences. It’s hard for me to interact with storylines in which a character is telling the truth, but others have decided not to listen/to turn against them.
