glad you said it because I was thinking it.

notice how Pippin still loves him because he doesn't know that Boromir tried to kill Frodo. MAKES YOU THINK.

here's my opinion: I think Boromir wasn't inherently a bad man, but he was used as an example of why "men are weak". He clearly thought protecting the hobbits was his job. But he's way too much like Denethor.

so he still puts Gondor/his dad above all else, and that I think is largely why the ring was able to corrupt him so easily.

Aragorn already knows what happens when men have the ring, Gandalf is an ancient magical being, Gimli and Legolas don't seem to give a shit about the ring personally and seem to just want to help Aragorn/Gandalf/Frodo.

can I just say that LOTR was probably my first real "fandom" and obsession as a kid and I think I watch the films once a year? So they are imprinted on me lmao.

I think I saw Fellowship in theatres a few times. I was 11 when it came out. I was OBSESSED. Then with TT and ROTK I saw those in theatres like...3 or 4 times each?

I was so grateful my brothers liked the films too because it meant they bought the DVDs when they came out LOL. One brother got the extended versions too when they came out.
