And this pisses me off because not only is it the restriction rules but I do not feel safe letting this person in the house, period. They are lax about restrictions and what they consider safe is not what I consider safe.

I sympathize with needing to use the bathroom after a 45 minute drive but it isn’t our responsibility nor is it fair to guilt us for following the current restriction rules and to put their needs over our safety.

But this put a dampener on an already difficult Christmas, where we can’t be with my immediate family. Like how tf is it fair for them to put us at risk for getting sick on top of tickets and fines when we have been as careful as possible.

It doesn’t help that I know they are deliberately flouting restrictions for Xmas day too. Like...so many people spread covid because they think they are careful and ALSO it won’t happen to them.

I had to tell this person THREE TIMES that they cannot come to visit me, because not only was in I quarantine but even outside of quarantine you can’t hang out with people, even outside. Period.

That person is a jerk. If there are retail spaces open (eg: Walmart, Kroger, cvs) they could plan to use one of their restrooms. You are trying to be safe and they are an exploded glitter packet.
