update on my family: my two aunts have largely recovered, although still have fatigue. One aunt was much less ill than the other. The one who was quite poorly for awhile, her husband was also not doing well, but he is much better than he was. His doc gave him the dexamethasone.

So idk if I am more or less worried about shopping indoors here or there. Less pop density here, but higher cases. More pop density back in Dublin but lower cases.

grocery delivery is also not really a thing here. I know one chain that directly delivers, there's instacart, and Walmart does grocery pickup if you have a car.

so if you want to go to superstore or safeway...gotta go in person.

but as there is more selection, it's easier to find stuff. You're not gonna run into a problem where a store runs out of chicken thighs or garlic powder.

But it does make it difficult for people to shield or just limit interactions. Not everyone has family who can deliver food and meds.
