finally I think Sue Harrington has written some stuff - and obviously there is all the related stuff on Viking gender - particularly all the stuff arising out of the reassessment of Bj 581 at Birka

unfortunately I'm not able to get a hold of a lot of these, because I do not have access to my physical library, but thanks! I was unaware of Sayer's new book tbh, but I've been so busy it's hard to keep up with new pubs. This stuff is really incidental to my thesis too but
