Had to get a COVID test last night (negative thankfully, and I feel better today, it was GI symptoms and phlegm in my chest but those are both gone now) and as uncomfortable as it was, I'm glad it was a throat swab instead of a nose swab.
This is in Canada, and it depends on the testing site. There are different kinds of PCR tests apparently. A throat swab and two kinds of nose swabs (one is less invasive). Maybe others? I know there are some tests that rely simply on saliva.

Ah ok, was surprised b/c everyone I'd heard of here got both (obviously we just have the one kind of test!) Glad to hear you're on the mend though!

Yeah I think it’s just adjusting to the dry air and I ate something funny haha. But I think also some places have a regime of doing two swabs while here they just do the one.
