Hey #medievaltwitter, I have encountered a strange statistic in a 40 year old paper, and a student of mine was asking about it because she questioned it too. It says that "The most scholarly nuns became abbesses, often at the early ages of 12 to 14." I am suspect of this.
It is not a very good article. I didn't really mark them down for using it, although one student asked me ahead of time if it was a good article and I said to use something else. I should have sent an email out about it beforehand, but oh well.

I didn't anticipate so many using it for their assignment.

Well, you can’t predict everything they might use. I guess send a class wide email stating it’s a crap article and try to find something else?
