I am interested in how "continuity" doesn't have to be the opposite of "change". Things can continue in some aspects and be altered in others. It's interesting to see how people negotiate spaces this way and the history of spaces.

YES. in grad school i proposed something adjacent to that and came up with a phrase for it and my prof was like YOU CANT JUST MAKE UP WORDS and i was like okay if i were an old british dude you wouldn’t question my neologism soooooo
