We are incredibly disappointed & frustrated with @GoddessGuide's suppression of the release of the TCD PhD COVID-19 survey results. This frustration is echoed by TCD PhD community. From income to mental/physical health, we intended to show how
#COVID19 has exacerbated an already broken PhD system and the key areas where PhDs need support. We are now halfway through a second lockdown and the results have not been released to us for public dissemination (2/8)1 reply 0 retweets 12 likesShow this thread -
Measures implemented by
@tcddublin at the beginning of this academic term could have been better informed had these results been returned quickly. With two months of delay and@TrinityGSU suppressing the public release of the survey results, this has not transpired... (3/8)1 reply 0 retweets 12 likesShow this thread -
@GoddessGuide has serious questions to answer here. If the survey results are anonymous, as she has stated, why can they not be shared publicly? Why has there not been a GSU council this semester so that this issue could be discussed? Why won't the TPWRG be credited?... (4/8)1 reply 0 retweets 15 likesShow this thread -
Why is
@GoddessGuide threatening@universitytimes with no legal basis? A similar threat was made to the TPWRG when we asked for OUR survey results back. This behaviour is unfitting of any@TrinityGSU President and a poor reflection on our postgrad community... (5/8)1 reply 0 retweets 13 likesShow this thread -
We ask that
@GoddessGuide apologises to both the TPWRG and the postgrad community for the handling of the survey and her behaviour. We also ask that she releases us the results under the agreed terms in the survey's explicit consent and without policing of their distribution(6/8)1 reply 0 retweets 13 likesShow this thread -
The TPWRG put a huge amount of work into crafting this survey back in May 2020.
@GoddessGuide &@TrinityGSU should recognise this & credit the TPWRG for their work. They should also honour the mandate we secured at@TrinityGSU, backed by@GoddessGuide(7/8)http://trinitynews.ie/2020/02/gsu-backs-phd-workers-rights-group-despite-presidents-opposition/ …1 reply 0 retweets 11 likesShow this thread -
