Canada definitely has problems with racism and racist asshats but I feel like some of that is also their sample bias in this exact instance -and also ignorance of what they were being asked about. Outside of my uni no one I know has any idea about what happened in OttawaU

It also seems like their poll was limited to the people registered with the survey company which (in what I have seen) skews towards conservative boomers

I think excusing this as a "boomer" problem is part of the problem. Ask your BIPOC friends about racism in Canada and if they trust you they'll tell you the truth about what it's like there.

I never said that was an excuse, just a flaw in the representation of this survey. I live in Canada, I never said we don't have problems with racism - I explicitly started with that. That doesn't mean the entire structure of this 'survey' wasn't suspect
