I made the mistake of taking a look and it was some of the most depressing reading I've done in years. The academic world is the better for you and for the existence of Boydell and Brewer and I'm delighted to have written for and published with you. Courage.

Being blunt and defending ourselves is apparently unacceptable if we’re PhD students trying to do our research in a pandemic. Of course if you’re tenured then you can do whatever you want.

Well we know what BS that is about. At this point whole swathes of
#AcademicTwitter in all fields say “happy to share free PDFs” in a bunch of fields. Noticeably ppl who offered their ebook & pdf libraries to scholars are now shaming Chris for 1 pdf (of a book his library owns). -
Yes, the hypocrisy is loud and clear.
