I know sometimes it's just people curious who I am, but more than once people have looked me up to discount what I say, which is funny to me because a job that emphasizes teaching shows clearly why students need access to research. Community College students are in the field too.

My CC students are lucky in that I work at a uni library so I can get them things that the CC doesn’t have access to.

Yep. I'm in a similar situation with university library access, and often retrieve sources, especially during disruptions to ILL from the pandemic.

My library still requires us to physically pick up ILL requests I think.

We were scanning sections of books and mailing out physical requests. It sucked to have to be in the building but we figured we might as well do something productive for patrons and other schools
