True enough. Designer items are overpriced and rely on sweatshops, the people who made them don’t get barely anything for them either and the only people who benefit are the rich people at the top. Hey you’re right, it’s very similar.

Okay. I don’t really know how to respond to this but clearly there is something broken if grad students can’t hope to afford books (many more are worth closer to €100/£100 in my field).

They often don’t, if someone isn’t attached to an institution, many of which aren’t if they are in between getting a job or a postdoc or what have you. I dread doing it myself.
