The email said that those who live off campus will not be tested, and that it only may be introduced in the future. This isn't an issue of who is considered staff, unless the email is incorrect and that all academic staff are able to get tested.

This initiative is ongoing
@AdmiralHip and is being very carefully monitored by@orla_sheils the Dean of Health Sciences. You are clearly concerned because you’re going to be physically teaching this term. Email me at president@tcdgsu.ie and I’ll try to find solutions for you.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I personally won't be teaching in person because my department has more sense. But my concern isn't for myself. It is for the lecturers in my department who have to teach F2F, and for people I know and are close to in other depts who are forced to also.

I don't want you to find solutions for me, Gisele, I want you to find solutions for everyone to keep them safe. We all need more transparency from you and the rest of the GSU on this. You need to be coordinating with departments over reopening plans.

There is a very wide range in how reopenings are happening in different schools, and it is very worrying. People do not feel safe, they feel afraid and upset because no one knows what's going on and no one will tell them anything.

Everything feels considerably more secretive now, when we should be aware of what's going on even more than before.

The email received today from
@tcddublin is the result of months of planning by the Director of Trinity Health and the Dean of HS and a group which includes the SU & GSU President. If it helps... I see everyone working flat out@AdmiralHip to try and ensure UG PG and staff safety2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

I can raise your concerns at these meetings
@AdmiralHip but it has to be on email to President@tcdgsu.ie so that I have your official ask on email. I am already working with this group to ensure everyone’s safety. It’s my priority that postgraduates are safe.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

I’ll email you then, but I once again think it is important for you to get in contact yourself with the PhDs. Many don’t reach out because they don’t think it will amount to anything.

My first task as
@TrinityGSU president was to pour resources into surveying@tcddublin PhDs with the release of the Covid-19 Impact Survey on July 24th in conjunction with@PhDRights This survey will help to represent you professionally with data. It closes out next week.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes
I did the survey. That doesn’t help the issues that are ongoing or the lack of communication. Especially since issues have arisen since.

We get many emails from
@tcddublin PhDs daily about ongoing issues@AdmiralHip and we work hard to find resolutions case by case. So please do contact me via president@tcdgsu.ie so that I can see where your specific concerns lie and act accordingly.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likesThanks.
