We just got an email from our university that says that there will be a program in the next few weeks to do mass testing of staff and students...who only live in campus/uni accommodation. Which I do not think actually accounts for most of the population who work/study there
Yes, there is definitely a financial aspect to it. Which is why Ireland should have rolled out general testing ages ago. But tests do not need to be that expensive. I was under the impression they are actually much cheaper than advertised.

But again, this is something they should have been planning for. It should have just been in the reopening plans from the start. Not to mention Luke O'Neill has been discussing this stuff in the news for months now, and TCD loves to promote him but not onboard his advice
