They said that IDing clusters within residences is important, and I agree. But if asymptomatic or presymptomatic people come onto campus and refuse to wear masks etc or have these face visors or whatever, that will be bad.

@tcddublin@pjprendergast we all deserve to have testing, not just the people who live in uni residences. And honestly, how many postgrads live in residence@GoddessGuide@AbhiswetaBhatt1? We have to come into campus, and many need to use public transportation.Show this thread -
These sorts of half measures won't work, and it is once again very insulting, but I bet that
@GoddessGuide and@AbhiswetaBhatt1 will look at this as a victory rather than a concession from college who don't want to keep ALL of us safe.Show this thread -
Why is
@tcddublin@pjprendergast just unable to take@laoneill111's advice that we should ALL be tested?Show this thread

Isn't the point in the email that there's two different types of testing going on - diagnostic testing for symptomatic cases by the health centre and opt-in screening (as distinct from testing, i.e. antibody prick tests) in residences? I may have misunderstood though

There is testing for symptomatic cases, and screening for those who live on campus. I'm saying we should all be screened/tested considering just how many of us do not live on campus.
