So, I'm an American studying Irish, and the irony of this strikes me, because I've noticed a number of times in Irish where the preposition my English-norm brain expects to use is incorrect in Irish (she has Irish in her bio, for those wondering why this is relevant).

Dare I say that Hiberno-English has plenty of differences from “standard” English as well. Language prescriptivism is garbage and I hate it.
