One thing that is really frustrating to me right now, and it’s something that I have discussed, is this idea that PhD students who supply so much labour to universities are just not kept in the loop about plans for teaching and reopening.
I don’t know how much more they know but it seems they know more than we do. I mean, I don’t know for sure but it is the impression I get from what I’ve heard. And it is definitely school dependent as well.

As far as I know, meetings are in place. But the fact that we aren’t being told about what’s happening, if that also includes staff, is garbage.

And the
@TrinityGSU sure aren’t telling us anything. I mean when it was about free hot water we couldn’t escape the emails but when there is a pandemic well

As I said, I'm completely out of the loop at TCD. But in other places I'm familiar with, staff usually know little more than it'll be either a), b) or c), which are all wildly different, and 'they [central uni admin] 'll confirm at some point before teaching starts'

I get that, but from what I heard from what some staff have told me is that there are meetings happening over this with schools/dept staff. And if they aren’t informing staff right now then they should be, along with us.
