I’m enjoying @CrusaderKings but as an early medieval historian I gotta object to the start of the early medieval period being in 900 lol.

The EM doesn’t come after the “Dark Ages” as the tooltip implies, what was thought of as the Dark Ages IS the early medieval period.

Ugh I know. Also “tribal period.” They should really just pay me to write for them

A friend of mine apparently interviewed their historical advisor, but something tells me this person isn’t an early medievalist.

Watching Jack de Quidt and their partner stream it was weird because the two of them are so unfamiliar with the period and just BUTCHER the pronunciation of all the Irish names but they are both very lovely and impossible to get angry with.

Oh for sure, there are worse names I remember from my undergrad even, but they decided to just call their ruler King Chad which gives a hint about how they managed Murchad ua Briain
