I had a hard time coming around to this after someone I know said that people with anxiety and depression aren’t actually neurodivergent and take up space in disabled spaces. I have since had to deal with chronic pain and I realized I probably have ADHD but I still feel weird

saying that I have a disability, physical or otherwise, because of that one person. And then I get mad because it affects my life profoundly and I should not be worried about what one person thinks about neurodivergence.

And I know there is a lot of debate over what constitutes neurodivergence/neurodiversity but it definitely came from a perspective of anxiety and depression aren’t “as bad” or something. Idk.
