30 years old and I can’t ride a bike. I don’t need anyone to tell me how, I understand the mechanics. I tried to learn about a decade ago and it didn’t stick.https://twitter.com/gavinthomas2015/status/1291714475435974657 …

I can’t drive a stick shift. I want to learn, but no one has them anymore.

Where do you live? Stick shift is very common in Europe, almost no one drives automatic, or so I’ve been told.

In the US in my experience nearly all the cars are automatic, you only drive stick if you’re driving a uhaul or something

Canada is the same but when I was a kid you could still get a stick shift car, my dad bought one when I was younger.

I’m from the US, so almost all new cars you have to customize to get a stick. I’m currently in Canada, but have my automatic car with me. Haven’t had to drive in Europe yet, but the family I live with in Italy keeps threatening to make me drive — and I think it’s just to laugh.

Weird. Used to be easy enough to just find a new car with manual.

It seems they don’t keep them on the lot anymore, so you have to have it ordered special for you
