Um, there are definitely racist and/or seriously dodgy patterns that pop up from time to time, but the site is fairly decent at taking them down, I think.
Not saying ravelry is bad, only that I have seen stuff fall through the cracks. Or sometimes things are potentially ambiguous. The pattern I saw was up for some time, had many good reviews.
Cassidy (who runs Ravelry) tries really hard to address any issues. If you send her a note about any problems, I’m sure she’ll take it very seriously.
This isn’t a comment on the people who run Ravelry, but a wider issue of patterns that are clearly not okay but fall through the cracks.
