Random post covid thing...my thyroid has officially decided it doesn't go here anymore. I ain't even mad, she just had enough of this shit. They make meds for this so away we go. My ultrasound has everybody in radiology & endocrinology fascinated

I had a multinodular goiter already. 3 nodes. Now it is 14. Presumably the same immune response that defeated Covid attacked my thyroid. This was a known risk for me hence today's test. I will be radioactive in August probably.

Store-bought thyroid is fine. I can't make my own for much longer & honestly this is still in best case scenario territory.

underactive thyroids are the worst anyway but thank god it is treatable. I'd not sure what to do if it wasn't in my case, although I've not had to take radioactive iodine. Good luck, I hope it gets all sorted soon.
