Does anyone have fidget toy recs? I have a cube but it’s getting a bit boring plus it’s noisy and parts are starting to break. Not a big fan of the classic spinners though.

Knitting I do pretty frequently but it requires me to pay attention to some degree. Worry beads are a good idea.

(It's also very satisfying because you can cut up thesis drafts to use for piecing the patchwork, and you end up with all your work recycled into what you're making!)

I never print anything off since I’m stuck without a printer atm

I’m looking for someone I can fiddle with with only one hand, basically. I’ve got a lot of knitting projects on the go but they are all fairly complicated so I need to pay attention to the pattern.

I knit during zoom meetings (and meatspace meetings, as you’ve seen) but have taken to using worry beads when teaching on Zoom, may continue when we return to f2f

Yeah I knit when I’m watching things or needing to just listen, but when I’m reading or getting work done I need something quick I can pick up and just mess around with for a few minutes before getting back to it. Knitting makes me focus on it too much haha.
