Does anyone have clogged shower drain solutions that are not: baking soda, vinegar, hot water, dish soap? We aren’t going for our weekly shop for a few days and those “home remedies” never seem to actually work, or make it worse.

Most showers have a trap. Take the cap off, then find the handle, turn 1/4 turn (probably to left), pull out and clean.

Ours doesn't unfortunately. I know this after I tried to clean the drain manually with a snake a few years back. I no longer have what I used to clear it though.

Knitting needle? It's really grim, and obviously only works if it's a reachable lump, but if it's (eg) hair caught within a foot of the drain, it might manage.

Thanks, we’ll figure it out. If we have to wait a few days to get some liquid drain cleaner then I guess we’ll do that.
