Today in getting the weekly shop: so many people out. This was at 7 pm, lots of people just out for a stroll. I get that people want to go outside, but I wish they stuck to side streets and didn’t crowd the main streets that people use to get food.

There were people queuing outside our regular Tesco. We were going to a larger store in the centre of town.

The shop itself was fine except for store employees stocking shelves right next to each other and chatting, and basically preventing people from getting anything from that aisle.

One man outside was just standing, watching. Was there when we went to the shop and was still there when we were going home. He just spat into the street. I hate that at the best of times but right now it made me incensed.

What also bugs me is people in the shop who seemed to have no sense that they shouldn’t just wander around? That we were trying to avoid them? Like ??? I get you need to find stuff but at least try to avoid just slowly meandering.

People are treating it like an extended holiday. Hope y’all were able to find what you needed

Mostly yes. But because the shop employees were standing where they were, it prevented us from getting some things. Otherwise we’re good.

Yeah, us retail monkeys are pretty good at doing that, whether on purpose or accident.

Yeah I get it’s tough to change habits.
