Google the Hong Kong hot plate story. Also, it's not clear whether Covid19 spreads most significantly by long-lived fomites or aerosal, but it certainly seems to be very good at spreading both ways.

Perhaps more usefully, look up oral-fecal transmission of COVID19. The virus in stool is actually very high, so high that stool is possibly the most reliable way to test for COVID19.
