That thing you had in Jan/Feb was not COVID-19 AND YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE NOWhttps://twitter.com/planet4589/status/1239320932197568513 …

Some of my friends have been like "I had a fever/flu-like illness back in January, maybe it was COVID19 already and it was more widespread than we thought then and so I don't have to worry now?" (Same here actually). But this graph suggests to me that's not likely. https://twitter.com/chrislhayes/status/1239265115108773890 …

Y'all we *do not know* if you can get reinfected with COVID-19. The cases being reported as possible r reinfection may be relapse - the person did not actually recover from the viral infection and became symptomatic again after an apparent recovery.

No one is testing people after they recover to find out things like when or whether they've cleared the virus and are now showing a response that indicates immunity because a) not enough tests b) trying to keep people alive and make a vaccine.

Look I don't know about anyone else but I know there have been times I've had an illness, I thought I was better, I wasn't showing symptoms anymore, so I went out and did my thing and boom it came roaring back (shoutout to H1N1 flu, fuck you buddy)

      Replying to @NeolithicSheep

Absolutely. I had the flu last year and it morphed into a bad sinus infection. I felt good one day. And then the next day was SO MUCH WORSE.
