*Punching* someone's seat might be going too far, but - as someone who can and has previously braced my knees against someone's seat to keep them from reclining into my lap - I do feel for the guy. The seat space is practically criminal, especially if you're not a small person.https://twitter.com/TMZ/status/1228352584689172480 …

I mean, he knew what seat he was getting. It sucks but why not get a seat with more leg room if you’re gonna be that uncomfortable?

Like, I have to recline my seat because the angle of the upright seat aggravates a hip injury. It’s not any other passenger’s fault that the airline has shitty legroom.

Assuming the guy had a choice in booking the seat right at the back - I had that happen to me once, as well. Best thing? A plane tapers slightly, so the seats at the very back are also more *narrow*! So you can't recline AND you get squeezed! For the same price!

I mean yeah, but like...idk, as someone who needs an aisle seat I ensure I can choose one. Like, knowing that I prepare. And even if the guy couldn’t choose his seat, was he unable to move to another seat or switch? Usually there’s someone who is willing.

And yeah sometimes you can’t choose a seat and it sucks but the woman has a right to recline her seat.

And he has a right to not be squeezed in for the sack of her comfort. Since the flight attendant gave him a free drink, I imagine there WAS nowhere he could move. I've been on packed flights before - happens all the time.

I mean idk what the resolution is then. Even as a short person I’ve been in seats that were squished. But tbh I’ve sat in front of people who prevented me from reclining my seat and it was incredibly painful and really annoying, especially since they were long haul.

Well, *I'd* say the fault is the company's. If you want to say "sucks to be you" to the person behind you... okay? Certainly we're not going to resolve the situation here between us on Twitter.

That’s fair, I guess I just have been in the woman’s situation before.
