False familiarity has a lot of y'all making "jokes" to strangers like they know you & your intent. They don't. And even if they did, pause for a moment and ask yourself if your intent was to make them feel better or if it was to be seen? Because there's a huge difference.

Someone asked the other day why I am (in their view) shitposting & it took everything I had not to point out that my life on Twitter (or anywhere else) doesn't revolve around posting what they want to see. Sometimes things are what fascinate me. The person who actually posts here

This is so apt. It drives me nuts when I get replies to tweets like “playfully” making fun of me or inserting themselves into a convo I’m having with a friend. I don’t even have that many followers so idek how bad it must be for people with more :/
