I can knit a row I can purl a row knit 1 purl 1 is absolutely impossible to do without getting all tangled and I'm about to give up knitting forever curse these needles, curse my knitting blisters, curse my need to rib successfully

My biggest barrier atm is remembering whether to start with a knit or a purl, I’ve had to turn my music off so I can concentrate

Yeah that was my issue to. If seed stitch is on an odd number of stitches then you always start with the same stitch. If you have an even number of stitches then you start with the opposite stitch on the next row.

But knit stitches look like a collar or scarf hanging around your neck and purl stitches have the bump, if that makes sense.

I should have done an odd number of stitches, but I did 10 because that was the perfect width for my toy leopard’s neck. Damn

Well check the site I sent you, I think they have a good example of how to know when to knit and when to purl
