I haven’t really talked about this much, but I just want to talk about what an incredibly racist act it was for RWA to send me Ethics complaints that contained such outright racist statements.

I paraphrase: My book isn’t racist; if she had kept reading, she would see that I used the “blue-eyed” thing to show that being half-Chinese is like a curse, but I meant the white half. What a thing to say to a half-Chinese person.

Replying to @courtneymilan
But she literally just explained it's the "white" half that was the "curse" (&apparently that's shown). So I'm not sure why that's offensive to a half Chinese person. It's not even offensive to a fully white person, which is the race she made to be the "curse". Can you explain?

But historically (late 1800s in this case), mixing races was looked down on, and in truth, the mixed children were very often looked down on (historically, not now). Blue eyes in China would have stood out and she probably would have seen it as a curse. NOT her Chinese heritage.

You really don’t have any authority telling anyone what is and isn’t racist. And it doesn’t matter if it was historically accurate, it’s still racist to call a mixed race person cursed. What the hell is wrong with you? Take a seat and stop tweeting and reflect on yourself.
