It is a concern for everyone who wants to see the field flourish, regardless of what language they use IMHO. It is a trivial matter to use terminology which does not alienate potential students and researchers. Early Mediaeval English history isn’t much of an ask, is it?

Because the Neanderthal genome sequencing was released 6 months after I purchased that textbook, which said that we have no relation to Neanderthals. Also, people were saying Anglo-Saxon England. Removing “Anglo-Saxon” and replacing it with “Early Medieval”

Canadian textbooks are filled with all kinds of inaccuracies. I never learned about modern First Nations people until I was an adult. We were taught Greek myths as history.
