I forgot you were from Canada! I’m from Southeast Alaska, so Ireland’s damp to me is “eh, throw a jacket over your sweater and you’ll be fine” kind of weather, haha

I picked it up when I moved to Ireland, and I really took to it. Aran wool is very warm, but the way it’s spun it usually worsted, versus woolen spun which I am told by a friend holds in heat better. Although Aran makes lovely dense sweaters, good for cables and such.
