So given some stuff that’s gone down, I have a few things to say. A senior scholar has been very rude to me lately because I criticized his blog post openly regarding ISXX. He was spreading misinformation and was essentially tone policing BIPOC in his post.

He had also subtweeted Dr Mary Rambaran-Olm several weeks back, and I asked that he own up to that and apologize.

He did not. Instead when he got tagged into a conversation regarding something else, he was rude and questioned the fact that I criticized his blog but still would cite him?

Basically what I want to say is that if you are a senior scholar, don’t punch down. Or if you do then there should be consequences.

Replying to @AdmiralHip
also what happened to being able to disagree on something, but trying to continue to engage, and perhaps agreeing on other things? I thought that would be part of the reasonable, moderate position that he purports to occupy?
