Hey friends: question for those with more knowledge than I. Last night I saw someone claim that our attachment to bisexuality is strange because it used to be based on a gender binary and we should stop holding onto this term, saying that we can evolve past it or some such.

Yes, trans and non-binary bi folks have existed more than the past few years. A lot of bi folks use the definition “attracted to two or more genders.” Some stick with attracted to men/women but that would include trans people. Many also use a definition similar to pansexuality.

Yes that is the definition I use (two or more) but this person is saying this is a recent change from its traditional meaning? Idk if that is true though.
