Is it the same as this? https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24635/lot/19/ … That says it's French in origin. Do you know more about the Greek original (e.g., date)?
Moreover, Ethiopia was Christian very early on. So their exposure to Greek religious texts would have been expected.

Certainly Chrysostom was translated; there are many texts. (FWIW, he was a text-magnet too. There are a lot of texts ascribed to Chrysostom that aren't, including the liturgy itself!) But it looks to me like Chrysostom is 8r alone, presumably an extract from a homily.

On the provenance of the Miracles of Mary, see https://books.google.com/books?id=-D97DQAAQBAJ&lpg=PA122&dq=ethiopic%20%22miracles%20of%20mary%22&pg=PA122#v=onepage&q=ethiopic%20%22miracles%20of%20mary%22&f=false … . Also—I hesitate to drop it, but the text was searchable—Budge, who includes BLM Or 637 specifically in that corpus.https://books.google.com/books?id=vOYKAAAAIAAJ&dq=ethiopic%20%22miracles%20of%20mary%22&pg=PR28#v=snippet&q=637&f=false …
