With seeing, certain things can be made in a day but even then it’s usually just simple things because of the time needed to cut out patterns, size it properly, etc.

Many do not understand spinning: turning the raw fiber into yarn. A lost concept and nowadays a rare art.

The regular populace doesn’t get it, no, although I see spindles and such at every yarn store and I see hand spun yarn all over. So I don’t think it’s a lost concept, simply often ignored.
