we all have an obligation to work on that and supporting our BIPOC/BAME colleagues? and our LGBTQ and disabled colleagues? Absolutely. Are the lived experiences of all of those colleagues the same? no, but some who have pointed out inconsistencies have been silenced. 2/

As a queer and disabled person who is also white, I definitely recognize that lived experiences differ, and yep, support would be nice, which is why I try to offer it to BIPOC

I am also a white, queer, trans, disabled person who, despite the bullshit that goes down in my life, has access to resources that BIPOC do not. I want to burn down all systems and institutions that do not support or even acknowledge the needs of or violence against BIPOC

And statements saying that these discussions are not inclusive of other BIPOC and their experiences without actually pointing to others or elevating their voices instead of trying to excuse the behaviour of white medievalists is also not great.
