And this also echoes this attitude I’ve seen from other white scholars opposed to the name change like, oh well we’re the REAL “woke” ones because other terms lead to racism so what about them? And the comment about the death threats...shit my blood is boiling.

The death threat comment was... in such bad faith that I can't even really deal with it. Like, if changing a name prompts a death threat, that is *not proof that the racism is unconnected to the name*
