I have a q for everyone regarding a TW I saw on Facebook. I’m in a fashion group, and someone posted some pics of Lil Nas X. A white woman asked for a TW on the post. Someone then asked for an explanation, and said that not explaining a CW for a queer black man was a bad look.

So basically the woman refused to explain, but said it’s not “because of the colour of his skin”.

I don’t think anyone needs to explain TWs generally but I have seen racist white women hide behind TWs for this kind of thing before.

The group has had problems (and still does imo) with racism and cultural appropriation, particularly with regards to AAVE and Japanese culture.

The group also only has one WOC mod, and she isn’t Black. She basically said no one could discuss it further, the TW was added to the post, end of story.

She just said that she wanted a TW for him. The post was a screenshot of a tweet with some fashion he was wearing. Sorry if I was unclear.

She also got very angry when people asked for an explanation. So someone asked if he did something, she didn’t explain because she said she didn’t want to/have to, she was already triggered and upset.
