So...two historians in one article. Not really “many” or even possibly accurate to be honest. Asserting the Heimskringla was historically accurate is problematic.

Not saying you need to write a dissertation, but the propagation of historical “facts” on social media is rampant and contributes to a fair amount of misconceptions that historians and archaeologists and others have to work against.

I mean you did state it with some authority with “many historians”. The fact is that the source they rely on is v. difficult to use b/c of the transmission and space of time between the event and the text. The fact is that the origin of nursery rhymes are very hard to pinpoint.
