So...two historians in one article. Not really “many” or even possibly accurate to be honest. Asserting the Heimskringla was historically accurate is problematic.

Not saying you need to write a dissertation, but the propagation of historical “facts” on social media is rampant and contributes to a fair amount of misconceptions that historians and archaeologists and others have to work against.

And it doesn’t take much to say, oh so and so suggests it’s this rather than a general “many historians say...” As an educator I have to get my adult students to unlearn all this stuff they read, and often they push back against that.
