Diablo is a phone game and people hate phone games. Fallout 76 is less than stellar and boring. Mostly impossible expectations were not met.

Except Bethesda didnt even put story or npcs into the game. So you just do stuff for reasons. Thats not an impossible expectation

No story? Proof you haven't pursued any of the quests, my dude. Some of the now-gone Responders have tragic or inspiring tales, and the history (and danger) of the Scorched is being told. Just because you have to find it by investigation doesn't mean it isn't there.

There’s a story. There absolutely is. To say there isn’t is just wrong.

For once, a video game where you aren’t the chosen one. The stories are still there, and the narrative is as immersive as you make it. Some of the best storytelling in Bethesda games are based in terminals and holotapes and letters, etc.

I dont play video games to hear a story, I have books on tape for that. I play video games to be part of the story. To interact and play with it. Thats the point of an interactive media

Well you are interacting with the world, that’s what the quests are. And multiplayer games are also about interaction with people which there is a lot of. Not only that but your actions can have an impact on the world, for better or worse, with the nuclear strikes.

Yeah but you know Old Republic MMO, Warhammer, and Destiny have all done Multiplayer with story elements. So are we just saying that Bethesda cant do something as good as generation 1 MMos?

I never played those so I can’t speak to them. Bethesda has a story and idk why you refuse to see that. You don’t like it? Fine. But it doesn’t make it bad. Just don’t play it and wait for their next mainline RPG. I’m done arguing about this.
